"A must read for
motorcycle and mystery
lovers"
Life has been pretty good to Bon Sandifer. After his tours in
Vietnam, he marries his childhood sweetheart, is a successful
private investigator, and spends leisure time riding his Harley.
Then the murders begin on Curly Trap Road. His wife Shelly dies
first, then a fellow biker is crushed under a Caddie, and finally his
brother is killed riding the same road as the other two. When Bon
remarries and finds happiness with is deaf biker bride, the
murderous web tightens and he grapples with
skeptical detectives and old Vietnam memories.
Sandifer fights to save his kidnapped wife and to solve the
mystery of the evil that hounds him. With his back against the
wall he turns in the only direction he can trust: his fellow ragtag
team of biker buddies.
Synopsis of the Hurt Report (Full report included in book): One of the most comprehensive studies of motorcycle accidents ever completed. Although this report was made available to the public in 1981; most of it's findings remain current. Knowledge gained from this study may well have saved my life more than once.

Synopsis of Glossary (Full glossary included in book): I thought you might enjoy knowing some of the biker lingo that is common today. Here's a sampling:
- Road alligators: truck tire treads on highway
- Off-camber: road banked incorrectly for turns
- Basket case: pile of motorcycle parts
- PMS: parked motorcycle syndrome
- Cage: automobile

One dollar from the proceeds of every book I personally sell and autograph is donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I did not choose the MDA because it is the organization supported by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the Harley Owners Group (HOG). Rather, I support the search for a cure of this debilitating disease. My dad taught that each of us must give back to the community in which we live...and I do not want to disappoint him!

John began writing in earnest in 1963, the year he bought his first motorcycle while stationed with the U.S. Army in Washington DC. Since that time he has written hundreds of thousands of words--and ridden tens of thousands of miles. It was a certain eventuality that John would put his two passions together--writing and riding-- to come up with his motorcycle murder mystery, Murder on the Trap.

John's motorcycle travels have taken him to Death Valley, Key West, and New England. His goal is to ride the eleven great back roads that crisscross the US including The Mother Road (Route 66), The Loneliest Road (US-50), The Road to Nowhere (US-83) and the Oregon Trail (US-20).
